Devanthro, known as “the Robody Company,” is a Munich-based deep tech startup founded in 2018. The company’s vision is to create humanoid robotic avatars, or “Robodies,” as agile, dexterous, and elegant as the human body but without its fragility. These Robodies are designed to teleport the operator’s senses, actions, and presence anywhere on the planet, effectively bridging physical distances.
Devanthro combines robotics, AI, AR, and 5G technologies to develop innovative solutions. The company’s mission is to make humanoid avatars accessible to everyone, particularly to enhance caregiving and other services where human touch and presence are crucial.
Devanthro’s Humanoid Robot
Robody: Robody is a humanoid robotic avatar developed by Devanthro. It serves as a remote robotic body, controlled via an intuitive VR interface that allows the operator to see, hear, and speak through Roboy as if it were their own body. Roboy is designed to assist in caregiving, enabling caregivers to provide 24/7 care remotely.
It is equipped with sensors and VR technology to ensure contextual awareness and effective interaction with its environment. Roboy aims to address the challenges of an aging population and the shortage of caregivers by providing a scalable solution for home care and other applications.
